• June 2021 Jesse James Beads Design Ambassador Kit

Hello! I am happy to announce I was chosen for the reenvisioned Design Ambassador Program from Jesse James Beads* . I was part of their original program last Year but this year Jesse James Beads decided to change it up a bit. What makes this different from their previous program is that Jesse James Beads are now curating mystery packages of supplies each month for their Design Ambassadors, encouraging us to do whatever videos, tutorials or posts we would like. No two Design Ambassadors get the same kit and have no idea what we are getting until it is shipped. In many ways I like this style more as it is like getting our own personal mystery kit each month!

Join me for my June 2021 Jesse James Beads Design Ambassador kit unwrapping and spontaneous tutorial.

  • Crafting with the Soft Flex Renewal Design Kit

Hello! Join Jami of Accent Allusions and I for a kit opening and spontaneous crafting using the Soft Flex Renewal Design Kit.

Last month Soft Flex Company announced their new design kit, Renewal, described as soft color palette of blue skies, Springtime and uplifting vibes. Something Jami and I felt it sounded like a fun design kit we had to try.

When the kits arrived in the mail, we were not disappointed! The soothing color palette of soft blues, sage green, cream, bright silver components and of course the Czech bead strands had us thinking of warm nights, with moths gently gliding through a flowering garden. Our first design impulse was to create earrings, and Jami found herself creating two pairs of earrings, and then a bracelet with the Soft Flex Wire. However I found myself drawn to wanting to use the Soft Flex with the TierraCast  moth focal to make a necklace.

Even after making our projects we still have an amazing amount of supplies left over that we can’t wait to use. We can honestly say with each Design Kit we have bought from Soft Flex we continue to love the supplies, enjoying being challenged by the ever changing colors and themes.

Wanting to see what new kits and supplies Soft Flex has in stock? Hop on over to the Soft Flex Wire Website. Don’t forget to check out the Soft Flex Wire FB for their most recent lives and tutorials.

If you are interested in seeing what other beautiful creations Jami Bostjancic of Accent Allusions has made and what pieces she has for sale please check out her Facebook and Etsy.

  • Allegory Galley Mystery Box Opening

As a fan of Allegory Gallery, and of course mystery bead boxes, I am on the lookout for whatever new and interesting items they might have in stock. When it was announced that a new series of Mystery Boxes were being made, Jami Bostjancic of Accent Allusions (my beading bestie) and I were excited! We were very happy with our previous Mystery Box from Allegory Gallery, and had to order another one. Supporting small businesses is important to us, and Allegory Gallery is a independent bead shop, run by William Jones and Andrew Thornton. They have weekday lives selling beads, jewelry supplies, artwork and free jewelry tutorials on their Allegory Gallery Facebook page.

Allegory Gallery offers Mystery Boxes every few months, and can sell out quickly. Each box can contain an assortment of gemstone strands, handcrafted items, glass/ceramic/wood/crystal beads, vintage beading supplies, luxury bead blends, pendants and more.

Join us for another Allegory Galley Mystery Box Opening!

As continuing fans of Allegory Gallery’s wonderful shop, we wanted to share some of the joy we get from ordering from them. We hope you give their shop a look. You might just find that rare or one of kind jewelry supply or art piece you were looking for.

  • Unwrapping and Tutorial of a Tierra Cast and Leather Cord USA Prize Package

Hello! Join me today for an unwrapping and spontaneous tutorial using a prize package from Tierra Cast and Leather Cord USA.

I won this wonderful prize package by creating a jewelry set, seen below, honoring the ancient Egyptian goddess of wisdom Seshat, using TierraCast and LeatherCordUSA supplies. The palm wood beads represent her palm fiber writing instruments, the woven leather hark back to her woven papers and metal findings symbolic of wisdom that withstands the tests of time.

I entered the necklace into a contest being held in the Mojo2 group on Facebook. What is Mojo2? It stands for Makers of Jewelry and other stuff, run by Beadalon, Dakota Stones, ImpressArt, Jesse James Beads, Leather Cord USA and TierraCast, who created this group for jewelry makers, artists, hobbyists, crafters and anyone looking for inspiration using beads with art. They hold contests every so often, wanting to see what art creations you have made using their products. Interested in joining this FB group, hop on over to MOJO 2.

A huge Thank You to Tracy Proctor of Tierra Cast and Michelle Owens of Leather Cord USA for this amazing prize package!

Check out the TierraCast Facebook page if you want to see more tutorials and inspiration. Interested in ordering you own TierraCast kits and supplies? See if your favorite Jewelry Supplier carries them!
