Unwrapping and Tutorial of the Soft Flex Egg Hunt Design Kit
As an artist I am always on the hunt for art supplies that are not only functional but look great as part of a finished design. Soft Flex jewelry wire is one of those supplies I found a few years back that is a go-to for any of my higher end jewelry creations. It is strong, comes a wide range of colors and has diverse range of applications. Soft Flex also has a complementary series of jewelry supplies and monthly themed design kits that change every month.
I have bought several past design kits from Soft Flex and have yet to be disappointed in the selection of findings, beads, charms and jewelry wire included in each kit. When I saw that for March Soft Flex was releasing an Egg Hunt Design Kit with a Spring color palette I knew I had to get a kit.
Join me for a unwrapping and spontaneous tutorial using the Soft Flex Egg Hunt Design Kit!Interested in seeing what new kits and supplies Soft Flex has in stock? Hop on over to the Soft Flex Wire Website. Don’t forget to check out the Soft Flex Wire FB for their most recent lives and tutorials.

Creating with the Sisters By Heart Bead Mix from Jesse James Beads
Having a friend you can talk to is so important and having a friend that is into art as much as you is even better. I am lucky enough to have Jami Bostjancic of Accent Allusions as my friend and beading bestie. We have been social distancing, yet calling and video chatting as much as possible. Desperate to have at least one crafting day together we each did a 14 day quarantine so we could do a bead kit opening and spontaneous crafting video.
In this video you can see we have similar tastes in beads and supplies but different design styles and beading techniques! If you are interested in seeing what other beautiful creations Jami Bostjancic of Accent Allusions has made and what pieces she has for sale please check out her Facebook and Etsy.

Trying out a TierraCast Kit
Hello! Today I am trying out a TierraCast Kit, designed by Tracy Proctor, that I won by attending and watching the virtual Great Bead Extravaganza! Until Next Time, Stay Crafty, Stay Safe!February 2021 Magical Mystery Bead Box
As I have noted before I have an ongoing love for mystery boxes and grab bags. It should come as no surprise that I love to test out bead box subscriptions, Jesse James Beads Magical Mystery Beads Box being one of them.
Each month JJB creates a different theme box with a coordinating selection of jewelry supplies. From natural stones, wood, glass, metal, resin, acrylic, fiber and more, you never know what you might get with each theme.Take a look at my Opening of the Jesse James Beads Magical Mystery Bead Box from February 2021 and a spontaneous tutorial using a small portion of the supplies:
You can buy the mystery Jesse James Beads boxes on a month to month basis and sometimes previous month’s boxes go on sale or even on clearance. I currently have a three month subscription which comes out to $42.48 a box. I personally can say I don’t always like every theme of every mystery box, however I don’t have a problem finding uses for the jewelry supplies contained in their boxes.

Grab Bags from Potomac Beads
Always on the search for suppliers of art supply grab bags and mystery boxes I heard about Potomac Beads. With many bead weavers and embroiders reviewing their selection of subscription boxes and grab bags as some of the best on the market, they had my interest. After getting a notification that their Grab Bags were on sale for $8.99 each, Jami Bostjancic of Accent Allusions and I knew we had to order a few.
Typically the contents can be valued at $30-40. No two grab bags are the same, and can contain any assortment of Seed Beads, Crystals, Gemstones, Czech Glass, Resin, and findings.Interested in seeing what else Potomac Beads carries or if they have more grab bags in stock?
