Crafting with the Soft Flex Renewal Design Kit
Hello! Join Jami of Accent Allusions and I for a kit opening and spontaneous crafting using the Soft Flex Renewal Design Kit.
Last month Soft Flex Company announced their new design kit, Renewal, described as soft color palette of blue skies, Springtime and uplifting vibes. Something Jami and I felt it sounded like a fun design kit we had to try.
When the kits arrived in the mail, we were not disappointed! The soothing color palette of soft blues, sage green, cream, bright silver components and of course the Czech bead strands had us thinking of warm nights, with moths gently gliding through a flowering garden. Our first design impulse was to create earrings, and Jami found herself creating two pairs of earrings, and then a bracelet with the Soft Flex Wire. However I found myself drawn to wanting to use the Soft Flex with the TierraCast moth focal to make a necklace.Even after making our projects we still have an amazing amount of supplies left over that we can’t wait to use. We can honestly say with each Design Kit we have bought from Soft Flex we continue to love the supplies, enjoying being challenged by the ever changing colors and themes.

Until Next Time, Stay Crafty, Stay Safe!Allegory Galley Mystery Box Opening
As a fan of Allegory Gallery, and of course mystery bead boxes, I am on the lookout for whatever new and interesting items they might have in stock. When it was announced that a new series of Mystery Boxes were being made, Jami Bostjancic of Accent Allusions (my beading bestie) and I were excited! We were very happy with our previous Mystery Box from Allegory Gallery, and had to order another one. Supporting small businesses is important to us, and Allegory Gallery is a independent bead shop, run by William Jones and Andrew Thornton. They have weekday lives selling beads, jewelry supplies, artwork and free jewelry tutorials on their Allegory Gallery Facebook page.
Allegory Gallery offers Mystery Boxes every few months, and can sell out quickly. Each box can contain an assortment of gemstone strands, handcrafted items, glass/ceramic/wood/crystal beads, vintage beading supplies, luxury bead blends, pendants and more.
Join us for another Allegory Galley Mystery Box Opening! As continuing fans of Allegory Gallery’s wonderful shop, we wanted to share some of the joy we get from ordering from them. We hope you give their shop a look. You might just find that rare or one of kind jewelry supply or art piece you were looking for.

Unwrapping and Tutorial of the Soft Flex Resort Chic Design Kit
Hello! Join me for a unwrapping and spontaneous tutorial using the Soft Flex Wire Resort Chic Design Kit! Once again Soft Flex created a lovely color palette for their May Design Kit, this time using hues of pink, blue and purple. With the addition of some gorgeous Tierra Cast components this kit brought to mind seaside sunsets and cool, relaxing breezes.
This kit pushed me to think outside the box, designing with a color palette I don’t normally use. I wanted to try an ocean waves theme, captured in the arrangement of Soft Flex Wire and beads.

February 2021 Magical Mystery Bead Box
As I have noted before I have an ongoing love for mystery boxes and grab bags. It should come as no surprise that I love to test out bead box subscriptions, Jesse James Beads Magical Mystery Beads Box being one of them.
Each month JJB creates a different theme box with a coordinating selection of jewelry supplies. From natural stones, wood, glass, metal, resin, acrylic, fiber and more, you never know what you might get with each theme.Take a look at my Opening of the Jesse James Beads Magical Mystery Bead Box from February 2021 and a spontaneous tutorial using a small portion of the supplies:
You can buy the mystery Jesse James Beads boxes on a month to month basis and sometimes previous month’s boxes go on sale or even on clearance. I currently have a three month subscription which comes out to $42.48 a box. I personally can say I don’t always like every theme of every mystery box, however I don’t have a problem finding uses for the jewelry supplies contained in their boxes.

Always on the search for suppliers of art supply grab bags and mystery boxes I heard about Potomac Beads.
