• July 2021 Jesse James Beads Design Ambassador Kit

Hello! July was a very hectic month for me but one of the bright spots was receiving my July 2021 Jesse James Beads Design Ambassador Kit. Full of wonderful metals, crystals and specialty beads it was easy to create with this lovely selection. Take a look at all the jewelry I was able to create with this kit.

Join me for my July 2021 Jesse James Beads Design Ambassador Kit unwrapping and spontaneous tutorial. This time I will be creating 5 sets of earrings!

Supplies included in my July 2021 kit, with my Affiliated Links:

Butterfly Bead Mix in Never Give Up

Ice Cream Mini Bead Mix in Cookie Dough

    Riverstone Chip Chain

The fabric butterfly wings from the beads mix got me thinking about the other JJB butterfly mixes I had bought and I created a Quick and Fun Butterfly Fairy Wing Earrings tutorial with some Chain Reaction #12, and sterling silver earring wires. You can find this tutorial on my Instagram or Facebook.

I couldn’t help but make some jewelry sets with my July Jesse James Beads mixes. The Butterfly mixes had charms and crystals that were perfect paired with leftover scraps of Chain Reaction.

  • Unwrapping and Tutorial of a Tierra Cast and Leather Cord USA Prize Package

Hello! Join me today for an unwrapping and spontaneous tutorial using a prize package from Tierra Cast and Leather Cord USA.

I won this wonderful prize package by creating a jewelry set, seen below, honoring the ancient Egyptian goddess of wisdom Seshat, using TierraCast and LeatherCordUSA supplies. The palm wood beads represent her palm fiber writing instruments, the woven leather hark back to her woven papers and metal findings symbolic of wisdom that withstands the tests of time.

I entered the necklace into a contest being held in the Mojo2 group on Facebook. What is Mojo2? It stands for Makers of Jewelry and other stuff, run by Beadalon, Dakota Stones, ImpressArt, Jesse James Beads, Leather Cord USA and TierraCast, who created this group for jewelry makers, artists, hobbyists, crafters and anyone looking for inspiration using beads with art. They hold contests every so often, wanting to see what art creations you have made using their products. Interested in joining this FB group, hop on over to MOJO 2.

A huge Thank You to Tracy Proctor of Tierra Cast and Michelle Owens of Leather Cord USA for this amazing prize package!

  • Creating with the Sisters By Heart Bead Mix from Jesse James Beads

Having a friend you can talk to is so important and having a friend that is into art as much as you is even better. I am lucky enough to have Jami Bostjancic of Accent Allusions as my friend and beading bestie. We have been social distancing, yet calling and video chatting as much as possible. Desperate to have at least one crafting day together we each did a 14 day quarantine so we could do a bead kit opening and spontaneous crafting video.

In this video you can see we have similar tastes in beads and supplies but different design styles and beading techniques!

If you are interested in seeing what other beautiful creations Jami Bostjancic of Accent Allusions has made and what pieces she has for sale please check out her Facebook and Etsy.

  • Jesse James Beads Etruscan Jewelry Tutorial

Hello! As you might already know I am a big fan of ancient history and beads, any possible way I can combine those two makes me one happy designer. Recently Jesse James Beads started a Rising Stars program to see if some designers might be willing to create tutorials, in whatever style they like, using Jesse James Beads materials. I am honored to announce I was chosen to create a video for them using some of my favorite JJB supplies and inspirations!

Now of course I couldn’t just do a basic tutorial, I wanted an inspiration that was different, yet beautiful. I picked the ancient Etruscan civilization as my focus for this project. An ancient culture that flourished in an area of the Mediterranean that is now known as Italy. Using their sense of style, color and layout I created a modern take on a ancient sense of style. Why don’t you take a look:
